 About the Author

Shelley Flake was a foster parent for 8 years & has two adopted children for a total of nine. She has a bachelor's degree in Special Education & a lifetime of experience working with children of all ages both at home & through volunteer work. She & her family recently moved from their home just north of New York City to a quiet 100-acre ranch in the West, with a dozen trail horses, cows, chickens, barn cats & her beloved Border-Aussie, Blue. One of her favorite pastimes is singing & dancing with her family in the kitchen.
